We love fire pits.
Outdoor fire pits are more than just beautiful features for garden and landscape, they are vehicles for bringing people together. More and more people in London and across the UK are discovering the transformational qualities of bringing fire into landscape design. Indeed, few things are more fundamental, or more enjoyable, than sitting around an open fire with family and friends.
Paloformʼs collection of fire pit designs add a modern dimension to the primordial bonfire with simple vessels in architectural concrete, corten and stainless steel – all crafted by hand in Canada. We are proud to be able to offer our outdoor fire pit collection to England, France and across Europe.
OUR FIRE PITS
CONCRETE VESSELS: Miso is a peaceful fire bowl with wide, shallow dimensions. Soba is a fire bowl of narrower proportions, suitable for use in multiples or for cozier spaces. Bento is our square fire pit, whose angular geometry is right at home in modern gardens and outdoor rooms. All our concrete fires are hand cast to order in one of six architectural concrete colours.
CORTEN STEEL + FIRE: Bol is a large, shallow vessel that epitomizes the organic modern fire pit. Caldera is a dramatic and sculptural fire pit inspired by the crater left by a sunken volcano. Bol and Caldera are available as wood-burning fire pits as well as with a natural gas or propane burner. Bento and Robata are now available in Corten steel.
LINEAR FIRES: Long, ribbon-like flames up to 1829 mm. Robata is a linear fire feature that has the long, low proportions of a modern outdoor coffee table and Komodo has a six-foot fire that can function as a space divider or spectacular central feature.
FIRE TABLES: Fold fire table is available in two shapes, a 6-foot rectangle and a 4-foot square. It is substantial and sculptural, yet light and minimalist. A modern fire table in powder-coated aluminum and Corten steel. Nimbus is a sleek dining-height fire pit table available in powder-coated aluminum.
At Paloform, we take an ʻearthy modernʼ approach to designing our fire pits. We believe that design should not interfere with the elemental character of fire. Accordingly, we design our fire pits to express the container’s material qualities in clear, geometric forms – weighty counterpoints to the flickering flames. We top our natural gas and propane fire pits with honed basalt river rock, lava roc, or crushed glass that complements the concrete and metal tones and harmoniously completes the aesthetic.
Each fire pit is individually made-to-order for a client and no two are exactly alike. Their individual character comes from the craftspeople who make them, and the intrinsic qualities of the materials. All fire pits are available in natural gas or propane fuelled versions and are supplied complete – all you require is the fuel source. Our firepit models and range of colours offer wide design versatility but if you require something entirely unique, we also offer custom design and fabrication services.
Our burner systems are designed and manufactured in-house and have CE certification under the Gas Appliance Directive 2009/142/EC for Europe. For more information on fire pit certification, click here.
The quality of our firepits is a direct reflection of the people who make them. We pride ourselves in our meticulous attention to detail and culture of care. We believe in manufacturing locally, using local materials and being mindful makers of things.
